Sotto la superficie
Findus has decided to support the creation of the new eco-mural Under the surface (Sotto la superficie), part of the Diamoci una Tor Bella Mano project, for the regeneration and recovery of the suburban heritage of the Tor Bella Monaca district in Rome.
Thanks to the patronage of the VI Municipality of the city and the collaboration with the non-profit association Yourban2030, the RIF Museo delle Periferie, the Italian street artist Lucamaleonte created a sea that teems with life, to bring to the “surface” realities that are too often “hidden”: the importance and the richness of biodiversity and our suburbs.
The urban artwork was inaugurated on Thursday 10 June 2021 and, for the occasion, a very special guest docked in the neighborhood: Captain Findus! Surrounded by intrepid little sailors and their parents, our Captain went to the discovery of the marine murals made by the children of the neighborhood, to bring together the “sea” in Tor Bella Monaca and reaffirm the importance of safeguarding the environments in which we live. So the sea, like the land.
Made with the “eco-sustainable” Airlite paintings, the work will remain available to the public, becoming part of an open-air museum exhibition on an urban scale, part of the circuit of museums in Rome. Not just street art, but a “green” work of art with multiple benefits, for people, the neighborhood and the planet.
