An encounter between technology, the environment and urban, sculptural and musical art that pays homage to bees and their function in the ecosystem: this is the new mural created with Airlite technology in Tuscany, on Carrara’s Scalinata Monterosso.
Titled Impollinèmesi, it is Italy’s first multimedia eco-mural, created by street Artist Zed1, soundesigner Alessio Mosti and sculptor Silvia Scaringella.
The project brings together the research of three artists with different backgrounds and worlds of reference in a work of urban art that purifies the air.
The purpose of Impollinèmesi, which combines the sound component with the sculptural one, is very ambitious: to raise awareness among the general public about Goal 15 of 2030 Agenda and the complex link that unites all the biotic and abiotic components of a territory.
Impollinèmesi, explains artist Zed1, “tells about love as seen through the eyes of plants. A cupid makes flowers fall in love by piercing them with arrows on which bees in turn rest. Cupid, however, is not a deity, but rather mankind itself – the new generations – in whose hands is the fate of the bees and who can still decide to stem the depopulation of this precious species for the entire ecosystem with its conscious intervention.”
