Art is in the air

On September 21, 2022 for World Zero Emissions Day, the Italian nonprofit Yourban2030 brings together the United States (New York) and Italy with two events under the banner of Agenda2030, and with the involvement of more than 2,000 young people.

One event in New York in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan. The other in Abruzzo, Italy in the setting of the Borgo Universo open-air museum in Aielli (AQ).

Airlite is a protagonist of the two murals created for this occasion. One is called “Nuru” and is located in Aielli (Italy), while the other is in New York. The artworks in New York  are actually two and they are inspired by the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Those murals were created by Yusuke Ochiai, an artist of Japanese origin, and Georgia Rojas Monaco. Thy collaborated with the students of the High School of Art & Design located in Manhattan for the project ‘Art is in the air-Creative solutions of air quality’ promoted by Yourban 2030 and made with Airlite paint.
